What do you need help with?

Open the box that comes closest. Each one takes you directly to the next useful step.

Registration or voter status

Check your official California voter record first. If you need to register or update your address or information, use the state registration service.

Vote-by-mail ballot

Track your ballot or check whether your county received and accepted it. For a missing, damaged, rejected, or replacement ballot, contact your county elections office.

Polling place or voting location

Use My Voter Status for personalized voting-location information. If something is wrong at the location, call Election Protection or review your voter rights.

Language or disability access

California provides multilingual voter hotlines and accessible voting options. Your county elections office can also explain local language and accessibility services.

Intimidation or interference

If a voting problem is happening now, get nonpartisan assistance. You can also document the concern through 805 EPIC's Report a Problem page.

I am not sure

You do not need to identify the exact problem before asking for help. A trained Election Protection volunteer can listen and help you find the right next step.

California voter rights

A problem does not automatically end your right to vote.

Name not on the list?

If you are a registered voter and your name is not on the list, California's Voter Bill of Rights says you may vote using a provisional ballot, subject to eligibility verification.

Still in line?

If you are in line when the polls close, California's Voter Bill of Rights says you have the right to vote.

Need assistance?

California's Voter Bill of Rights includes the right to get help casting your ballot, with limits on who may provide that help.
